May Mendonca
My name is May, but the kids know me as Auntie May. I’m originally from Brazil, where I earned my degree in Early Childhood Education in 2012 and worked as a teacher for over four years before moving to the United States in 2017.
Since then, I’ve continued doing what I love most — caring for and teaching young children. I worked as a lead teacher in daycare settings before opening Rainbow Kidz, which I have proudly owned and operated for over 2 years.
I’m also a mom to a wonderful 4-year-old boy, so I truly understand how important it is for parents to feel safe, connected, and confident when choosing care for their little ones. Creating a warm, loving, and nurturing environment is something very personal to me.
At Rainbow Kidz, I focus not only on learning and development, but also on kindness, emotional growth, creativity, independence, and making children feel at home. I believe every child deserves to feel loved, supported, and excited to learn every single day.

Christie Aurelio
Hi, I’m a mom of a 4-year-old nature lover, an educator with over 15 years of experience working with children, and someone who truly believes childhood is meant to be spent exploring, creating, and connecting with nature.
For the past 2 years, my partner and I have been running our own home daycare called Rainbow Kidz, creating a nurturing environment rooted in respect, curiosity, and gentle parenting. I’m also currently working as an assistant teacher at a forest school program, where I continue learning and growing alongside children every week.
Over the past year, we’ve been offering a small Forest School program on Saturdays for our daycare families, and seeing the joy, confidence, independence, and creativity that nature brings to children has inspired us to expand this experience to the community this summer of 2026.
I’m passionate about creating a space where children can slow down, get muddy, climb, build, explore, ask questions, and simply be kids. I believe nature offers some of the most meaningful opportunities for learning, emotional growth, resilience, and connection—and I’m so excited to share that experience with more families.

Felipe Ronqui
Hi! My name is Felipe or Tio Fe, and I’m so happy to be part of the Rainbow Kidz family since the very beginning. I’m originally from Brazil, where I worked as a physical therapist, with a special focus on working with children and supporting their development.
Being able to care for and connect with children has always been something I truly enjoy. My background helped me better understand children’s physical and emotional needs, as well as the importance of patience, movement, communication, and creating a safe environment where they can thrive.
I’m also a proud dad to my 4-year-old daughter, which makes working with children even more meaningful to me. As both a parent and caregiver, I understand how important trust, attention, and genuine care are for every family.
At Rainbow Kidz, I love creating fun moments, encouraging independence, and helping children feel comfortable, happy, and confident throughout their day. It has been amazing to grow alongside the families and children who are part of our journey.
